If you haven’t gotten the memo it’s SPRING TIME! After an entire winter of cold and hibernation, it’s time to get out and live a little. This season is all about bright bold colors: Bright denim, bright dresses, bright shoes and even bright nails and lips. Bold colors are more powerful than hypnosis on the eyes. This can be a blessing and a curse. When picking bold pieces, always choose pieces that accentuate your positives and NOT your flaws. If you’re feeling adventurous, try colorblocking! However word to the wise, if you mix more than three bold colors, you risk the chance of looking like a real-life Rubix cube. Remember, have fun with bold colors but don’t overdo it.

Fire pits, Beer Gardens, Hour waits for tables and Stephen Starr. These are words I never thought I’d dare utter about this section of the city. But it seems like things have been gettin a little crazy over in Fishtown. Has the hipster haven has been taken over by the mainstream. Negative, at Loco Pez all the cool kids can hang together cause who doesn’t like Mexican Food.

This Philly take on a LA Street Style restaurant stays packed most nights, so be ready to endure at least a half hour wait to get a table. It’s well worth it though. You might get lucky and hear the bell sound. That’s a good thing, it means that tacos are now a buck! One of the tasty menu highlights is the street dog. This bacon wrapped, salsa drenched bit of goodness is inspired be the street trucks of LA. A limited assortment of border plates fill a menu which has a few vegetarian friendly dishes. The food at Loco Pez(The Crazy Fish) is yummy and affordable, just about everything is less then 10 bucks. They also have a better then decent selection of craft beers.

The place is kinda small and looks like a 70′s dinner with a collage of Mexican comics affixed to faux panelled walls. It’s located on the top of Fishtown at the five-point intersection of East Norris, Susquehanna and Cedar. Loco Pez is the latest addition to the neighborhood. They follow Frankford Hall, Stephen Star’s latest venue which houses a fire pit and beer garden. These new spots have center city dwellers migrating to Fishtown for drinks and some grub. If you haven’t been yet get there ASAP, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

If you don’t already know the deal about Diplo then catch up quick. The Mad Decent records founder is the dude behind MIA’s Paper Planes, Beyonce’s Run the World(Girls) and Usher’s latest smash Climax. He has recently joined forces with Snoop Dogg to create a reggae album. Yes you heard me, I said reggae album. Listen to what Diplo had to say:

“Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he’s bigger than the music. What we’re doing is a reggae record. It’s like Snoop Dogg and Major Lazer together. It’s all reggae and he’s singing and he’s doing a f—ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song. … We’re going to get back into the production of it next month, and I’m really proud of that record. It’s the first record I’ve ever executive-produced and his crew is amazing.”

On Monday April 2nd Atlantic City welcomes its latest attraction to the Boardwalk. The Revel Resort & Casino, a reportedly 2.6 Billion dollar project openned its doors to great anticipation. The project started almost six years ago has finally been completed. Revel is a 6.2 million square foot beachfront resort and is the city’s 1st completely smoke-free property. Their goal is to integrate a theatrical setting, social aspects of a party and high fidelity gaming to create an immersive entertainment experience.

This place is amazing. It boasts indoor/outdoor pools with cabanas, multiple entertainment theaters, including a 5000 seat & 1000 seat venues. In addition there are 42 retail concepts, a 30,000 sq. ft. Spa, 14 Restaurants and four night/day clubs. You have to see it to believe it. It has raised the standard for Casino’s on the east coast. Revel is truly on another level.
